Media: newspaper, billboards, internet, magazines, television, radio and many other ways.
2.
The purpose of media is to entertain, persuade, inform, influence, munipulate, cause bias, etc..
3.
Media is influenced by the social aspect because it can be influenced by the people on what the people say or do. It also can be affected by the political group because the opinions or the so called facts will change peoples minds and can cause different things to happen. The economy can also change the media because if something like the stock market goes down the media might inflate the situation. I also I think that media can be affected by just about anything and anyone. The reason I say that is, sense media is freedom of speech anyone can say something and make people believe it. With that being said people can be bad influences.
4.
The other side that is not represented by the media is usually the opposite of what people are doing such as the Iranians not all of them are bad and terrorists. The people are not as bad as everyone may portray them. At school this can happen because if someone has a bad rep or a rumor going on usually everyone believes it even if it is false they believe that piece of information until the truth comes out. Both sides of the story usually get hurt because one side is the side that had something made up about them and the other side is known for not telling the truth.
Step 2
1.
The Americans were portrayed as the one who were helping the Iranians be liberated. The Iranians were portrayed as the ones in control of the moment. When actually the Americans were the ones making the event happen instead of the Iranians being the ones who decided to take control of the act.
2.
The Iranian culture is a unique culture to understand because many people misinterpret it like they are the people of knowledge because they're always wanting to learn more and take in things that will benefit them.
3.
Basicly in all of the slides each newspaper is portraying the same event but two totally different perspectives (EX.- one says liberated another says they have fallen).
4.
I would say all of them because each of the examples created a different perspective and minipulated the outcomes and truth of the media.
5.
The information made my understading different because it munitpulated my reaction to the media because it wasn't all the truth so when you get the truth it throws you off and changes the already formed perspective.
6.
They chose to capture the event in the way they wanted the media viewers to see/portray it. They chose to select the side that they wanted to make the public think and focus on the way they wanted them to.
7.
I think the Newspapers were doctored because the media wanted to make a bigger deal about everything, blow things out of proportion, and to make things more controversial for more watchers of the media.
8.
The purpose was to influence and make people support the images they told/portrayed to them.
9.
The media, business, politicans, countries, viewers, and the perspectiv of the people.
10
Yes, because the information given to the public is the opinion that forms the action and the action of people's beliefs.
Step 3
1.
Yes, because image size, color, font, and dedication condones lots because the more it is noticible the more it attracts, appeals, and influences which makes people notice it and also it makes it look more important.
2.
Everyone because almost everyone that has access to it looks at it.
3.
The people that aren't being represented are the true victims. This makes it harder for them because they don't get the attntion they deserve because they are the little people in the eyes of the media so to the media they don't have the influence they want.
Step 4
1.
The outcome for those groups of people were being treated differently and being judged easier because of background, race, and assumptions.
2.
Yes, because the media made you think the worst about people. They made people assume things about the people of the Islamics/Muslimes so the media technically played on everyone's fears.
3.
No, because if your claiming something and then doing a different act then your not staying true. Australia kind of believed the redifined truth and believed it which made them start doing things against what they claimed to be.
4.
It makes my perspective now realize the garbage I was fed. But I have always known that you can't believe everything you here from the media. Also just because some of the Iraqi people do bad things doesn't mean all of them are that way.
5.
Like I said in 4 eveything you see is not always the truth or the whole entire truth because soe of the media is true it's just ben altered. My perpective has changed a little because now I will always check all of the media thouroughly before jumping to concluions and I think others should do the same.
6.
I think that the media has impacted the event because it has altered history. The media has now made things different because I think that people or public wouldn't have jumped/attacked so quickly at the others if they had known the whole truth at the begining.
Step 5
I will use prezi for my presentation and report.(At TOP)
What would do you think you would feel if you were one of the DC cops?
Why do you think that a person that is loyal to the US are treated differently just because they might be similar or look like the enemy?
