Thought questions
1. They didn't trust the crow because he was Farmer Jones' pet. Also, the pigs convinced the animals that there was not a Sugar Mountain.
2. The Beasts of England was all about rebellion, and convinced animals to rebel. It later became the Animal Farm anthem.
3. The pigs came by daily and told them that work conditions and productivity only kept getting better. Therefore, the animals thought that things were better than in Jones' rule, when it really wasn't.
4. Napoleon says that he's against the windmill being built because it won't work. Later, he says that his disapproval was tactics, and the plans had been stolen from all along.
5. Napoleon raised puppies to be his fierce bodyguards and told them to banish Snowball from Animal Farm. The other animals didn't stop him because they were scared as these events were unfolding around them.
6. The pigs had gotten the animals to believe that they can only be dumb animals who couldn't possibly survive without a strong leader. Because of this image, the animals didn't question the pigs' actions.
7. The people would want the opportunity to have knowledge. If they are not informed on these matters, than the leaders cannot possibly know if it's in all the people's very best interest.

12. It's the only thing he's really good at that can help the farm. He cares about animal farm and wants to help its growth.
13. This book shows how easily a utopia can be had, and then lost. Animal Farm started as a utopia, but quickly fell all apart.

I think it is like really good food!
The first time you eat it, it is absolutely incredible! You
don't think that you could ever go back. Then there are leftovers.
You have it for the second time, and it doesn't taste nearly as good
as it did the first time.

To me, it feels like the Jetsons movie. It's where Mr. Jetson is
sent to work at a big factory where they make these gear thingies.
Every night, after the machinery is all fixed up and ready to go,
these little creatures come in the middle of the night and sabotage it
all. Mr. Jetson tries to watch the place at night, but falls asleep and
is carried off by the little creatures to their underground city.
