Jackson was a snake fighting ninja, but not a very good one. One day, he was traveling alone in the back alleys of Butte, Montana. Of course to most people, this would be very dangerous, but not to him. The sun was just setting and a darkness had filled the city. Snakes were everywhere. Slithered around they did. Around and around they went until he was trapped in a tomb of snakes. "Them there snakes is gonna kill yoouu!" said a local hillbilly, "but don't worry, I'll help you!" With a muscular hand he reached in and grabbed a handful of snakes. His hands were being bitten atrociously, but he didn't care. Long skinny snakes tried to fight him, but to no avail. Body, mind, and soul was how he fought. And soon the snakes fled. The hillbilly ran away into the woods shouting with joy of his triumph. Coyotes howled at the moon. Freaked out was Jackson. Out of the city he ran... And he was never seen again. "...started fighting the snakes and helping out that ninja!" Jackson heard some one say as the guy recounted what had happened, but Jackson didn't care, he ran out of the city... Screaming the whole way out.

The 5 snakes had just lain down when a pack of coyotes, which had lost their father, fell into the whole, howling loudly and wandering from side to side to find some place where they would find water. Jackson, one of the snakes, slithered around them with his long body, and the coyotes freaked out and started screaming. At the last moment Mollie, the foolish, pretty green snake who drew pictures, came mincing daintily in, chewing at a lump of sugar.

The movie I thought of is inception. The main character was an actor named Leonardo DeCaprio (spelling?) and another actress named Ellen Page along with others. It was based around the idea of putting 2 or more people to sleep in a dream. The main goal of this was to get secrets from people from their dreams without them aware of it. Later, the main characters attempt to put an idea inside someones head to where they thought it was their idea (inception). To do this they had to make a dream within a dream within a dream. Parts of it were hard to follow, especially the timing. Literally, the timing. The idea was that 5 minutes in the real world was an hour in a dream, and so on and so forth into the further depths. In the end they succeed in putting the idea of destroying a business into a powerful man's head. Surprisingly though, there is a shocking ending. See, each character had what they called a totem, and it was a special object that was... well for example one persons totem was weighted dice. This way, no one can recreate it in a dream so the people know if they are in a dream by using their totems. Leonardo DeCaprio's totem was a top. In the very end, he spins the top, then is distracted when he sees his kids who he hasn't seen in years. He walks away to be with them but the camera remains on the top. After seconds have passed, the top hasn't slowed down and hasn't stopped suggesting that Leonardo DeCaprio's character is trapped in a dream. Then the movie is over. Their are many theories like how the top wasn't actually his totem, that his wedding ring was and that he used the top to throw off other people so it was that much harder to recreate it.

Dean Groom Activity #3
This program I saw is about imaginary visions. In this program, it's main actors try to survive and put thoughts into other actors.

I am most like...
I am most like Snowball. I like being in a position of power. I also like to keep things fair and equal. If I were a leader, I would delegate well and do my best to keep everyone fair and equal. I am also like Boxer in that I try to work hard and do my best. However, I unlike Boxer i am not afraid to question authority.

My WebQuest
I learned a lot from my WebQuest. I learned that the media sometimes has its own agenda. It sometimes lies and misleads. One example is the powerpoint we watched on the 2003 invasion of Iraq. I also learned more about prezi's. It seems like everytime I use prezi I learn something new! This WebQuest also helped me learn more about researching on the Internet. I found that some resources are not nearly as reliable as others. Finally, I learned that every one's opinion and perspective is different. Sometimes you have to look at a situation from different angles and views.

If I could do this again, I would probably work more at home. I didn't necessarily waste time in class, I just avoided homework. I would also gather more information. I found I wasn't 100% prepared for some parts of my presentation.

My opinion of WebQuests are positive. I don't always enjoy research but I did enjoy this project.
