What it Symbolized for Orwell
What it Symbolized for Me
Pictures For those Visual Learners
Boxer
represent the working class.
Always dedicated with his motto
"I will work harder."
Boxer is a lot like me. We
both are hard working, and
always trying to work harder.

Mollie
Represents the working upper
class but since she is the same
animal as the working class that
remained true to human. She was
never in favor for the war but just
went along with it not fighting though
Mollie didn't mind the humans since
she got pampered, and fed. After the war
she missed her old life and went back
to the humans.
To me Mollie represents those
people who kinda rebel against
what their country is doing. Mollie
didn't like the way Animal Farm
was going so rebelled against it
and went to the other farm.

Spontanious Demonstration
to remind the animals of the struggles and
triumphs of animal farm.
it symbolized for me that Napoleon
wanted to say all is good and have
a great celebration for him and his
big ego.

Russian Revolution, what orwell believes
will happen to any society because of
Power hungry people. the Rich and
the Poor.
To me my class last year was like
the book animal farm. There were
people who thought that they were
better than everyone else in the world.
then there were people who who would
work really hard, but where never given
credit to it.

Study Guide chapter 1
1. The animals are behaving like animals in that they are living on a farm walk on 4 legs.
The animals are behaving like humans in they talk, they have dreams and explain them to the animals.
2. Old Major's speech in the barn was about how he was going to pass away soon, so he wanted to share with the rest of the animals his wisdom. He tells them about humans and how they take all of their food that they produce and only give them enough to survive. He also, explains a dream he had the previous night about a world without humans. Old major relates this to them by trying to make his dream a reality.
3. Old Major says, "All men are enemies, all animals are comrades" because it shows that old major and the rest of the animals do not like men are are their ENIMES and all animals are comrades or friends. Another quote George Orwell used to describe this was "Whatever goes upon 2 legs, is an enemy. Whatever goes upon 4 legs, or has wings is a friend."
Study Guide Chapter 24. The animals were easily led because they needed a new leader and the pigs where their to follow in Old Major's footsteps to do exactly what he wanted.
5. Snowball said to Mollie, "Those ribbons that you are devoted to are the badges of slavery." because they are trying to rebel against the slavery and Mollie wanted to wear her badges. They are using her.6. The animals rebelled against not getting food and drove the Humans away leaving Manor Farm theirs. This made the animals seem more confident and more in power.
7. No animal shall kill any another animal is implicit in these concerning mankind.
8.The relationship between Animalism an Marxism is they both are a form of leadership. Sharing is Caring. Old Major= Karl Marx
9.The farm could have been a perfect Utopian community by it was peaceful and quiet (after Mr. Joan and the humans left), got along, had a way of using their own goods, sharing.Study Guide Chapter 3 & 4
1. the farm is becoming a more civilized community in that they have a form of government and they are spreding the work. they also are getting a long and being civil.2. The animals flag is green which represents, the fields of England, and white hooves and Horn which represent the animals.3. Napoleon and Snowball argue each night and give their voice of opionon but it is not always the same.4. 4 legs good, 2 legs bad is a good propaganda technique because it shows anything that goes upon 4 legs is good and anything with 2 legs is bad and that is the pigs opinion. simple and easy to learn.
5. The pigs set themselves up to be the elite on the farm because they took over as soon as Mr. Jones left leaving the other animals thinking that they are the best. Thy Know how to read and write.
6. Squealer talks the other animals into thinking that the pigs are the leaders and brainwash them to think so. threaten that Jones would come back.
7.The battle of Cowshed is different from the rebellion in that the battle of cowshed they were fighting against Mr. Jones and the other men and they won it was more of a battle and only lost 1 sheep. In the Rebellion it was spur of the moment and the humans didn't fight back it wasn't know as a battle.
8.Snowball and Boxer are both awarded for Animal Hero's first class this rises the emotions of all the animals. Snowball was okay with the children dying but Boxer was sad about it. Snowball said that the only good human is a dead human.
9. This is ironic because they pigs are such lazies and they don't do anything. It seems that the pigs cause all the problems to the farm that they trying to become perfect.
Study Guide for Animal Farm 5-6
1. Mollie is rejected by the other animals because she is going against animalism and is associating with humans.
2. What happens between Snowball and Napoleon over the windmill was Snowball wants to build a windmill to better improve the life on the farm, but Napoleon thinks that the animals should attend to their current needs not the distant future.
3. Some similarities between Jone's rules and Napoleon's rules are they both want to make all the decisions on the farm and want all the profit from their goods. Differences could include The way that they view things
.4. Obedience and loyalty come to replace freedom and bravery on the farm because all the animals were afraid of Napoleon and they wanted to be obidenate and loyal or else they would be just like snowball.
5. I would consider Squealers squelches about Napoleons takeover propaganda because he is using the worst case scenarios to get them to go to were he wants.
6.This Motto "I will work harder" helps shape boxers character because it shows how he is a hard worker and how his work ethic is.
7.Napoleon establish credit for the windmills being built because he said that the plans were his in the first place and that snowball had taken his idea. He rebelled to get rid of Snowball.
8. The animals are forced to accept the changes by Napoleon because he is in charge and if you don't listen to him he will do what he did to Snowball
9.Tactics means the skills and to acomplish and end.Study Guide for Animal Farm 7-8

4. Napoleons power was at hand and he executed.
5. Clover is longing for the old times and sings Beast of England.
6.Napoleon says he abolishes the song was it was no longer needed. the real reason was he didn't want them to see his wrong doing.
7. He keeps changing all the laws and he lies about Fredrick when he needs them.
