    • Relative Location
    • Absolute Location
-Relative location is a general idea of where something is. Some examples of relative location are two blocks away and the east side of town.
-Absolute location is exactly where something is. Latitude and Longitude give absolute location. An example of absolute location is 30 degrees north and 73 degrees west.

    • Human Characteristics
    • Physical Characteristics
Place tells what that particular place is like. Places have Human and Physical Characteristics.
-Human Characteristics are things that humans have developed, such as roads and buildings.
-Physical Characteristics are natural features of our earth.These include rivers, valleys, dirt, and lakes.

Human-Environmental Interactions are the ways we interact with the environment. We do so mainly by adapting to, modifying, and depending on the environment.
-We adapt to the environment when we use umbrellas in the rain and sunglasses when it's sunny.
-We modify the environment when we heat and cool our houses.
-We depend on the environment for many things: food, water, transportation, shelter, clothing, and many other materials.

Movement means the way we travel and how it impacts our environment. There are 3 categories under movement: People, Goods, and Ideas.
-People is when people interact with each other. An example of this interaction is visiting family in another state.
-Goods means trade. We use movement very often to trade goods with others.
-Ideas stands for technology, tools, fashion trends and all other ideas that travel from place to place.

    • Formal
    • Functional
    • Vernacular (perceptual)
Regions are groups of places that posses some of the same traits (usually they have similar locations).
-Formal regions are defined by legal borders between states, countries, ect.
-Functional regions are defined by a function. A function is a service such as a delivery company or a airline.
Venarcular (perceptual) regions are those that are very broadly categorized. For example, The Middle East is vernacular region.

Continue researching places and be citing resources. Begin Powerpoint or Prezi

Work on Presentation.
