Location
Relative: general area or place ex. Montana is located in the north-west U.S. or I live next door to John Doe. Absolute: Great Falls, MT. is located at
47° 30′ 13″ N, 111° 17′ 11″ W
Place
place is an area that is defined by everything around it. ex. our school's place is defined by the walls, doors, seats, desks, students, lockers etc......
Region
region is a area defined by its physical, human, and cultural charastics ex. Montana is a mountanious state on the western half of the state while you move east the land flattens out to a praire like plain.
Movement
movement is how people, products, information, and ideas move from place to place. ex. people in the U.S. move with vehicles, planes, trains, and other forms of transportation while people in Niger travel mostly by foot and/or horse-back.
Human-Enviromental interaction
How do people depend on the enviroment:(example) farmers in the mid-west U.S. depend on the annual rain fall to grow their crops for consumption and production. How do people adapt to the enviroment: (example) farmers of the mid-west U.S. adapted to the enviroment by irrigating their crops and only growing crops that thrive in the regions climate. How do people modify the enviroment: (example) farmers of the mid-west U.S. modified the enviroment by making hybrid crops and installing irrigation on their crops.
