The Animals of Indiana Zoo

Where the animals ended up.

Once in late winter, early spring there were many animals that lived an Indiana zoo. Hundreds of people visited the zoo every day to see the animals. All the animals could communicate to each other in some way. Because of this the animals can tell the others that the humans have left. They all have fun at night talking to each other. The lions and the wolves would always talk secretive in the lion’s cave. Another day came along and the people loved to see the animals. But at around 5 PM some boys came around and had rocks in their hands. They looked very suspicious. They went to the giraffe enclosure, and they did nothing. They went to the gorilla enclosure, and they did nothing. Then they went to the Lion enclosure. Both of the lions were sleeping. The boys wanted to see the lions do something. So they threw the rocks at the lions. The lions were growling at the boys very loudly. The zookeeper saw the boys and walked over to them. While he was walking over, one of the boys fell over the edge and into the enclosure. The lions growled again and walked over to the boy. The tamer then jumped in and stopped the lion long enough for the boy to leave. The boys then got in trouble and were sent home by their parents. After a long day the zoo then closed. The animals then had a meeting of what to do about this. Some of the animals said, “It is not good for us animals to be here in this zoo. We need to leave this zoo and see what the outside world is like. Wouldn’t it be nice to be out of these little enclosures and have free, open space?” Then one of the bears comes up and says, “Why don’t we just make a contraption that could get us out of this place?” Then the lions agreed. The lions then said, “We start in one hour to build this contraption.” The next hour came along at 10:32 PM. The animals came prepared with whatever they needed to make this contraption. The elephants got some metal, the monkeys got some wire, the wolves got gasoline, the giraffe got an engine and the bears got the blueprints. They have found out that they will have to fit all the animals on this plane type contraption. The wolves said that they don’t have enough fuel to make it across the ocean. Then the giraffe said that it is fine because the tank and engine do not take up that much gas. Surprisingly, it was 200 miles per gallon. The tank could hold about 15 gallons of gasoline. It was then told by the lion that they could make a solar and water powered plane than could run for a while. The animals then agreed then started building. It turned out they could make a giant basket that could hold the big animals under the plane. Because they all worked together, the plane was finished by 7:00 AM.

Lucky enough on Sundays the zoo was closed so they could leave that day. The animals then said goodbye to their zoo and left at 7:48 AM. They left off! The plane swirled, swerved, and make tight curves. At 10:38 AM they made it to the Atlantic Ocean. It was a beauty to some of the animals. To other animals it was really scary to be over the ocean in case it fell. The wolves walked to the front of the plane to see a compass. They saw that they were going south. One of the wolves said in their head, “We were going south this whole time! As long as we go to a different country we will be fine.” The bears then looked at the sky and said “Hmmm, its turning dark outside.” One of the lions then said, “What! We run on solar power! As long as we don’t run out of water.” The bears then said, “We were supposed to add water? Oh No!” The plane then started to fall from the sky. Some of the monkeys were trying to spit in the water tank to make it work. It was still falling! The plane fell 1 mile off shore in the water. When the plane landed, some of the parts of the boat stayed up on top of the water, so some of the animals that couldn’t swim went on the parts. They ended up on shore approximately 1 hour later. They ended up on an abandoned beach. They all liked to feel the sand. The giraffe then saw a large statue of a man on a hill. She then said, “I’ve heard of this place. A person dropped a brochure of here in my enclosure at the zoo. This is called Rio De’ Janeiro, or Rio for short." They walked around and found a large cave to sleep in. The lions then started to yell at the bears for coming up with this idea. Then the bears started yelling at the wolves for agreeing to this idea.

The animals then split up to three parts because of the fighting. One part was a group that thought they were leaders. This section included Smarts and Strongs. This group included the 2 lions, the 2 wolves, 3 of the elephants, and 4 of the monkeys. The second part was a group that included Strongs. This group included 1 of the elephants, 2 of the gorillas, the 2 bears, 1 kangaroo, and 2 cheetahs. The last group was the smarts. This included 2 monkeys, 1 giraffe, 2 koalas, 1 zebra, 2 eagles, and 1 porcupine. Right before the 2nd and 3rd group left, the leader from both groups talked and the 2nd groups’ leader said that they should meet up at the end of the beach at 8:00 AM. The Animals then left the cave and split up along the beach. The Strong group was making a lot of noise over the night. The rest of the animals then went to sleep at about 11:30 PM. It was a new day for the animals of the Smarts. The leader of the Smarts at about 7:00 AM said that the Strongs wanted to meet up with them at 8:00 AM.

An hour later the animals all met up at the end of the beach. The Strongs wanted to make a new plane that will actually work this time. The Smarts said they should go to Australia and live there. The Strong’s leader said, “Just remember that you cannot tell any of the so called leaders about this. We are going to ditch them for being mean to us.” Just then 2 rare blue birds came and said, “I overheard what you were saying. Can we come with you?” The leader of the Smarts then said yes. For hours they worked on the plane. At around 5 PM one of the wolves was walking around the beach. He heard what the animals were thinking about this. He then thought that he could get payback for not telling the leader group about this. At around 10:30 PM, one of the elephants put water in the tank. The solar panel was charging all day for this flight. The plane was then ready to leave. Seconds before it left, the wolf jumped on the back of it and hitched a ride. They were in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean at about 2:00 AM. The wolf was just ready to spring out when a couple animals were in the middle of the plane. E then jumped out of a barrel and yelled “Howdy friends!” The elephant then said, “What are you doing here!” Then the wolf said, “I’m here to get payback!” The door of the plane was wide open like a helicopter’s. The wolf starts growling and walks toward the elephant. The wolf looks hungry and scary while the elephant looks really scared. One of the bears walks in and yells, “Look out Poppy”. The bear then leaps at the wolf and pushes him out the plane and into the Ocean. He dies. The animals are all happy about this and run to the bear and all say thank you. Because the weight of the wolf changes the momentum of the plane, the plane falls onto a distant land. The animals all get off safely, including the birds. They walk around at about 7:00 AM. They see other animals in the distance. They walk over to them and say, “Where are we?” The goat like creature then says, “Well you’re in Africa, it is mighty fine here!” The animals then live a happy life in this prairie land of South Africa. Later in Rio, the Leader animals then get found by animal catchers and get thrown in the nearest zoo
