my mini-saga

There once was a squirrel named lynder,
Who was stuffed into a grinder
He got hit by a truck,
and then he got stuck,
and they made him into a binder
How does this make sense?
Why he got stuck on the tire,
He was shipped to a plant,
and thrown in a fire,
The tires melted,
And then they were smelted,
And then they were molded and belted
Well one of those belts was Lynder, you see,
And they forced him through a sewing machine
They stitched and they cut,
They really could have been kinder,
And that’s how lynder became a binder.

MY TALE OF UTOPIA
The future adventures of Eduardo and Francisco
City.jpgEarth.jpg

Our story starts now, in the year 2011. There was a civilization that was slowly destroying itself. They lived and still live on a planet that they call Earth. This was the year that our characters were born.

Eduardo and Francisco were born into a dying world. Their economy depended on decayed organisms which had stored energy from their star while they were alive. The energy was stored in complex molecular structures made out of the elements hydrogen and carbon, and could be released by breaking these structures and combining them with the element oxygen. This process was carried out in complex engines which utilized only about a tenth of the stored energy, and the lack of efficiency meant that the reserves of energy were being rapidly depleted. There was a further negative affect. The molecules formed after the combination with oxygen trapped energy in their planet's atmosphere that would normally be reflected back into space, causing an offset of global weather systems and migratory patterns, and species were being lost faster and faster.

Eduardo and Francisco(or Edward and Francis in Mexican) were born in the same town in the same hospital on the same day, but other than that, had absolutely no relation to one another. It would take five years before they would even meet each other. But those five years went by fast. Eduardo and Francisco met in kindergarten, and they were instant friends. By the time they got to middle school, they shared the same dream. To one day create a perfect city, where all criminals are captured, and disasters have no loss of life. They continued to grow with their dream. Finally, they got to college, and they knew exactly what they wanted to be when they grew up. Francisco decided that he wanted to run for mayor, and Eduardo decided that he wanted to help Francisco. It was a big city, and he was going to need all the support he could get. He was running against some tough competition. There were people who had been running for years, and who had been the mayor of more than one town. Francisco was questioning whether the people would even consider some guy right out of college. Nevertheless, Francisco won. He won because of his plans for the city, to make it a utopia of new technology, like personal rapid transit, and maglev trains, things that the citizens could have only dreamed of. So with the help of Eduardo, Francisco set off to make his city perfect. Much to his surprise, many of his plans got through and were approved, even though he was a perfectionist. He built the utopia he had always dreamed of. Everyone got along because most crime had vanished. The city became an example of good leadership to the rest of the country and world, and many mayors were aspiring to be just like Fransisco. The city developed a nickname for Francisco: San Francisco (Saint Francis in Mexican).San Francisco was mayor for a decade, and with the help of Eduardo, his Utopian city lived happily ever after. These new ideas and technologies weren't limited only to Francisco's city. Soon the ideas started to spread, and it turned into a revolution. Cities all across the globe started implementing Francisco's ideas, and many small towns were vanishing because everyone was moving to cities. Farming had turned into a city job, as crops were grown in skyscrapers. Most of the world's farmland was getting returned to it's natural state, and people in cities were using less and less resources per capita. The Earth's natural cycles were coming back, and all the worries of rising sea levels and overpopulation were fading away. Everyone was living better and better lives, and the future was looking bright. That is how Eduardo and Francisco saved the world.
